when punching pedal, car starts to pik up then "bog"/pause, like its gunna shut off. it pauses goes pauses goes. then i have to drive slowly to get where im going. got gas and pump works fine. anyone know what the problem or condition is about? thanks.
 
Check all vac lines, plugs, wires, fuel pressure. Try checking the vac line that goes from the intake to the manifold to see if its cracked or loose. That sometimes usually the problem.
 
my dad had a similar problem with his truck and it was one of his spark plug wires rubber had melted off and it was being retarded. my old truck did the same but it was vac line cracked
 
make sure you alternator belt is tight...my miata did that everytime i would get on it it would start to die on me..so we snugged that up and it hasnt done it since.
 
when u say clean maf..i unplug. unscrew and i scraped the terminals clean, dont have the filter screen thingy, and under the sensor itself is good. the coil packs on the other hand have cracks and penny size, circular burn marks. putting in new sparks now.....
