my dash illumination comes on when i hit the brakes and the light switch is off. any ideas wht it would be. it dont drain my battery at all so its not a huge deal but it would be nice to find out wht the prob is :]

some 12v wire is either close to or touching a light output wire
or sumthing is bridged from the brake switch to a light wire so when u push it the dash light flash...
or the body harness is rubbed up and bridging out
check wheel well for rubbed harness
take out the bottom panel of dash and take a look
do u have alarm,a radio installed..
these things done by shotty ppl will cause problem like this

check your brake light bulbs. You probably put a dual filament bulb in instead of a single filament bulb. This causes feedback through the parking light circuit which causes your dash and running lights to come on when you depress the brake pedal......

^ thats what iv always seen unplug taillight harness one side at a time and youl know which side it is.
