in the past couple days my check engine light came on. so i went down to the ECU to get the codes off of it. I may have unplugged it a little, but its in securely now. Problem is, now the car wont start. If i hold the key in start..it will act like its about to go..but wont turn over. So before i go and buy a starter.. does anyone know if this is possibly a security thing? if maybe the ecu was unplugged, now the car wont turn over? any suggestions or should i just try a new starter on there?
car is a 95 KA 240

If your starter is cranking, that's not the problem.

I would unplug your ecu 100% and plug it back in. Make sure the screw's tight and the corners are making full contact. Sometimes you have to tap the corners in to get it securely fastened.

have some1 turn the key while you hit(tap) the starter to see if the starter is getting stuck. if it cranks and fires go and buy yourself a starter.

you could have fried the ecu too....if you got any extra one lying around use it see what happens also try reading the codes .

ok well luckily it was no biggy. just the ecu was not bolted in all the way. tightened everythign up and it fired up. still didnt read the codes though ha :D

Just use a Scan tool to read the codes. No need to unplug and stuff.

Are you positive. Look under the dash for the ODB2 Plug. My 95 had it. But nothing else to make it ODB2.
