Drifting in Latvia, (sorry Nissan lovers)

Sean Love

.
Went to this event 2 weekends ago in Latvia. It was pretty damn awesome. I had an offer to drive the blue and white 4dr E36 but I finished my last beer around 9am that morning so I opted not to.

He had mailed on youtube and drifting.com like 6months ago about tips for E36 setup. WAs really cool to meet someone from across the world like that. Dude actually had just driven in from Moscow the night before.

Heres a quick animated GIF, I'll add lots more pics and some videos.

You guys gotta hear the 540 with big exhaust and cams, I thought it was an LS1...

yes...very lucky though to travel so much mr sean.

Ehh I pretty much hitched a last minute ride to Latvia with Hannu but I am very grateful for this opportunity.

Lucky was us even getting across the border from Estonia to Latvia though...... you need two hands just to count how many things were illegal (and 3 out of 4 people drinking open beers in the car while crossing the border was NOT one of them!! :) ) Imagine trying that while doing the Mexico-Texas crossing....

BANG BANG BANG.... "they had guns".... lol

Anyway, as promised here's some videos

Here's the 540i. Supposedly it was swapped for a later 540 motor (meaning its 4.4L)

yes bois. the s14 is my new team mate and after me and harri giving him some tips for drifting, he is the best in finland right now, and possibly best in sacndinavia/latvia/russia/lithuania sector.......

until i get my mercedes running that is :D

i have more videos of him i'll post them later.
this kid is the fastest learner i have ever seen. you tell him somethink to try out, and he nails it first time :)

and i vdo not mean first and second gear drifting. in finland we have nice third and fourth gear entry tracks.

one more thing those beamers are stock everything exept the white and blue one. these latvia/russia/lihuania kids are poor,
(they used to be under russian ruling for so long, but it is getting better now)

i think sean posted this for reason beaing= not too many nissans in old soviet countries.
not for reason bmw is better than your nissan??????
witch in my opinion is way better than nissan :bigthumbu :D :bigthumbu

For anyone who doesn't know, I own 4 Nissans and 2 BMW's. My first car was a rust bucket 1983 RWD Celica. 240's are great, I just like being a little different and I've owned a lot of E36's.

It totally blew my mind though when we got there and it was like 40 BMW's and maybe seven 240SX's, I had to laugh just a little... like complete opposite to USA.

wow, shit load of BMW's there

looks like youre having fun in europe.

i just got back a few weeks ago.
