clutch prob. ANSWER> ATTENTION NEWBS!!!

hey guys. i ve had this prob for a while and everybody told me a diff thing.....

the act clutch i got was sticking and acting funny ( for full description read back on my other threads.)

everybody thought that it was a cyl or sumthing. well
EHRRRRRRRREERRRRR!!!!

no . actually it was the THROW OUT BEARING> if it goes bad ur clutch will not engage or dissengage. itll just be stock there. so .... to change it you gotta take out the whole tranny.

so everybody out there with s13 mostly ..!!! chack ur Throw out bearing when doing a clutch job. so you dont have to go through the same prob as i did.

the thing is 55 bucks at nissan.

$$$$ also.!!! ( ghetto way to adjust it)

before the bearing dies completely on you. you can save u some time by adjusting the clutch pedal. depending on whats happening in my case the clutch wouldnt disengage so i got my pedal and lossened up the screw so that i have more dumping action/
somehow it helped. ...

symptoms of this prob is when u driving u may hear a lil rubing or loose metal old bearing coming form ur shifter. and the noice will go away once u press on the clutch.

Yo serg, wassup is Nelson. Bro you have no idea how much trouble I went through with that car trying to crack that problem. People were telling me it was the Rear Main Seal, leaking oil onto the disc and making it slip etc etc etc... Anyways dude, glad you got it fixed. Another problem I had too was that it would start to slip whenever the engine heated up. I think I mentioned it to you when I sold you the car, did you finally get that fixed too?
 
i guess not. anyways im just trying to make this car last me 2 more months till i can do a swap. so i really dont care.

also NELSON!!!! that starter prob. it was not starter it was the ignition swich. (wich was only 1 dollar at u pull it. (one dollar to get it.) $joink.lol
 
yeah most do come with the throwout bearing. another thing to look out for is to be sure that when you do change the throw out bearing that the small retaining clip on the fork is locked in cause it will come loose and make some noise.

I'm glad everything's going good with the car. I freaking loved that coupe man, ignition swich huh? damn that's weird.
