Cart started shaking like a tank wtf

So I was driving to work, car was all fine and dandy. All of a sudden I feel like it starts running a bit rough, kinda like bogging. I come to a stop at a light and I notice the whole car is shaking like a motherfucker. I give it a bit of gas in neutral to see if it idles better, but it keeps on shaking badly. I take off and notice there's a decrease in power and car is sluggish.

So I pull over and do a quick check on my intake vacuum hoses to see if they got loose and on the plug wires, but I don't know what else to look for so I just drive it like that:ugh: I ran the car with the hood open and I notice the engine shaking nasty, its like it wanted to pop out of the engine bay.

Tomorrow I'll inspect the spark plugs and check vacuum hoses....what else could have gone wrong for it to be driving fine one second and then trying to self destruct in the next?

start motor and start disconnecting injectors, one of them might have gone bad

Its car sorry for typo.

Thanks for the ideas.

I turned the car on this morning and could see the engine shaking. I unplugged the 1st injector (closest to front of engine) and the car immediately smoothed out and stopped shaking. I thought I had found the culprit, but to be sure I did the same with the other injectors one at a time and then with the first one again. Second time I unplugged the 1st one, instead of smoothing out it became twice as worse and shook like a mutherfucker. It was scary lol

Plugged it back in, unplugged the 2nd injector, and it smoothed out a bit, but not as much as it did the 1st time I unplugged injector #1.

So could that injector be the problem? but if it is why did it get worse the 2nd time I unplugged it....
any other things it could be? I doubled checked all my vacuum lines this morning and they seem fine, pulled out 2 of my plugs (will do the rest when I get outta work) and didn't see anything abnormal and gap was fine...

Thanks for the help...just ordered an injector which should be here on Tuesday...bit the bullet and went with a remanufactured one to avoid gambling with getting a bad used one...I just hope the problem doesn't "jump to the next one"

And yeah my engine's always had a bit of a shake...not as bad as now which is like a fucking earthquake. Might have to drop even more dough and get some nismo mounts or something

Is there anything else I could check before the injector gets here? just to narrow it down and make sure...It'll suck if i spent that cash and it doesn't solve the problem

dude dont mean to sound like an asshole but you can get those injectors at the junk yard for like 3 bucks. sentras and maximas (with vgs) have them sticking out of the car so you dont even need that many tools just a screwdriver and an injector puller. just make sure you check the resistance, it should be around 11.2. the one were you unplugged and it smoothed out was probably wide open, if you check that one its prob like 30+

next time you have that problem hit me up i pull about 20 of those injectors every couple weeks to do injector swap on z32s so i allways have a fiew lying around

if you payed a shitload for that remanufactured one and you can return hit me up ill come to you if your not to far from me

I know man I cross referenced with other cars to find which ones would work and I searched on ebay for all of them. I'm a savvy buyer always getting stuff at decent prices and doing my research.

But I worked all weekend didn't have time to go JY hunting..so I payed $45 bucks for a remanufactured injector that I'm sure will work including 1 day air shipping to my door. I need my car to go to class and I dont know any people with 240s :(. Trust me it pained me to do that knowing that I could have gotten some good used ones for pennies in the dollar lol

I can return it no problem, but you are all the way in Royal Palm and I'm in Miami. Fuck otherwise I would really take up your offer!
I appreciate the offer and advise though will keep it in mind

lol.. I might need some injectors too, same shit just happened to me today.. except a bolt holding my alternator bailed, my belt came off of the pulleys, stopped at almost every gas station so the car wouldn't overheat, and it ran like poop the whole way back home. Changed the belts, and now the car starts bogs for a literal second, and then turns off....................... Just finished checking everything and I'm mind-boggled.

Thanks to everyone and to Metalrocks12. Did an ohm reading on all injectors and #4 was not reading anything. Swapped it out and the car runs smoothly now. Haven't taken it for a spin but it immediately stopped shaking and bogging.

Another question since im on topic: While doing the reading, all of the injectors now read 11.6-11.7 except for # 3, which reads 14.6. Is this difference enough to warrant replacing it? would it run better if I replaced it with another injector reading 11.7 or should I not fix what isn't broken...

thanks
