car wont start

well i picked up another 240 and it wont start.

i put on a:

new starter
new starter relay
new fuel
new battery
new spark plugs

but it still wont start it just turns over and shakes alot. sometimes it will misfire out the thottle body too. any ideas on what the problem might be?
 
ive sprayed starter fluid. still nothing. it started once but as soon as i tried to give it gas to try to keep it started it just shaked and stalled. what would i do with the timing to make it run?

have someone turn it on and just move the dizzy back and forth and see waht happens

it's most likely your timing. Look it up google. How to set timing.

no need for it at the moment. Take out a spark plug, and drop a long screw driver in the cylinder. Now manually turn the crank pully until you feel that the screw driver hit the top. Then compare the markings on your pully vs. the block. That should give you an idea if your off or not.
 
ok so i replaced the fuel pump fuel line and fuel filter. the car finally started also it was running on 2 cylinders at the time. it was a spark plug issue. got it to run 3 cylinders drove it down the road. the 4th cylinder spark plug had oil on it when i removed it. any easy fixes on trying to get the 4th cylinder to work? if not im swapping the motor tomorrow
