Best mod ever

I put in polyuroethane steering rack bushings and my car feels like it's new again. The steering wheel doesn't wander and you can feel the road and which way your wheels are turned. Also they take like 20 minutes to install. All you need is 1 17inch socket and a ratchet. However, it is the messiest job ever but is well worth it.

I didn't want to spend the crapload of money for the nismo ones so i got these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HARD...categoryZ33589QQihZ019QQitemZ8077080839QQrdZ1
+1 for these

wait until you have replaced your inner and outer tie rods along with the new rack bushings.

If you think that is good, wait until you do the rear subframe poly bushings.

i have tien tie rods inner and outer and have subframe bushings but i think the rack bushings are the most noticable.

well teh subframe bushings are wonderous when your old bushing cores fall out upon removal of the subframe. On the other hand i heard that flca bushings are something else nice to change..... i only got one of mine done then had to close up shop for a little problem.

depends what shape everything was in before. I had one bent tierod, so changing that made a huge difference.

And i did the subframe bushings in my last car. When I got this one I just did spacers. Its so much easier. and maybe better.

the energy suspension bushings are resistant to oil....... well they dont swell, crack and fall apart.

thats maybe the greatest mod we could do to our cars, Add to that Poly sway bar bushings, and if you dont have adjustable TC rods, and you have the OEM tc rods, changing its bushings makes a heck of a difference.

Man those are pretty expenssive, seeing as you can get the Hyperflex kit from Energy Suspension for under or around 100 dolla

You have no idea how ****ing hard it is to replace them all...

A press and patience is all that's needed. Bushings are always played out to be hard. The hardest bushings to replace aren't even included in that kit (subframe). I just got metal spacers b/c I'm lazy. :)

*edit: does that kit include bushings for the subframe? Or spacers?

Sweet I'll probably pick that up before I do my swap.

Be warned that replacing the tension rod bushing w/ a urethane one has been known to cause broken control arms. Look into some adjustable tension rods (like SPLparts.com) if you want a safer, better solution.

Tony Mac the kit comes with subframe bushings. Kenrik they are not hard to remove like tony said it just takes patience. I had the TC rods with the Poly bushings and it worked good until i went with SPL v.2 tc rods. But for any drifter in a Budget these should get the job done.

yeah I did full poly bushings in the white s12 the subframe was a bit of a ***** since i did it in my driveway

Oh so it does come with subframe bushings...meh, they are a PITA for sure. All the other ones are "easy" with the right tools.

i didnt have trouble with my poly subframe bushings, burnt them out, and get creative and accurate with a hammer and various chisels for the left over metal peices. Perseverance.
