amp fade

well, i was tired of the shitty sound in my car with the radio so i made up a system. everything was working great, ive got a 620 watt amp with a good sub in the back, however recently my head unit took a poop on me, so i got a new one however now with the new headunit my reg. speakers dont go as loud and go static sooner, and the light on my amp fades and my rear sub goes from very little bass and sound to complete static. i know the speaker cant be fried and i dont think the amp is, my question is, the head unit is 60watts, is it possible that the headunit cant do the job??? the power is connected straight to the battery so the headunit cant be underpowering the amp can it??? kinda confused any input would be great

its sounds like a voltage issue... were the factory amps bypassed when the head unit was initially installed?theres many factors involved...i can help u but i werk at the swapshop so u need hellp if u wanna show up or
pm me

there are factory amps??? well the speakers themselves are wired straight to the head unit, but the sub is wired to the amp. i had no problem with this when i put the system in but now with the new head unit it starts this shit. my ground should be good but im gonna check it out. im also gonna make sure i have a good connection with power and check out my rca's and see what happens, if not ill hit you up for some help infected

Well If All Connections R Good.....if Sound Goes Thru Bass Amp And It Starts To Fade It Sounds Like A Voltage Issue.....the Ka24de Alt Only Puts Out 80 Amps So All Additives To The Electrical System Start To Falter.....i Learned This Wit My First Hatch...which Had 2 Batts In The Back...including Front Batt..
And I Still Had Little Electrical Gremlins....and How Old Is The Batt...in Ur Car U May Have A Bad Cell Or Its On Its Way Out.....do U Have A Capacitor Or Sum Type Of A Gauge So U Can See From There...
