That is a nice car. I have seen it before, not in person of course. It just needs to be lower. lol. The is engine is just a 4AGE with a turbo, or what us Corolla guys call a 4AGTE.
 
Oh, I didn't read that he had a 7M-GTE. That is the MA70/JZA70 Supra motor. 3.0 inline 6 twin cam 24 valve turbocharged engine. But the motor in the picture is still a 4AGE woth a turbo.

The 4agze is not as free revving as the Naturally aspirated 4ag. Although the supercharged version does make more power and torque, the NA models are much more poplular and fun to drive! :bigthumbu

Hell yea. Nothing beats the feeling of drifting an underpowered car. And the sound of ITBs is just jizz worhty.
 
as a former 86 drifter i gotta disagree with the feeling of drifting an underpowered car. maybe the feeling of underdog and showing what 115hp can do (in my case 45hp). when i put the 20v on my 86 it made it 20x more fun to drive and drift around making prob 150whp it is a completely different animal

we're building a 20v turbo as we speak. the car wil hopefully be ready by summer running 5-7lbs looking for around 220whp, fast spooling high revvin 4ag

btw the pic shows turbo 16v 4age

I understand that 150 whp is more fun than 50 whp. But what I mean is that having 115 whp seems like more of a challenge than 300 whp. Challenges are fun to me. :D
 
o hell yeah, and keep driving that untill you can maintain drifts using every ounze of power that your car makes and you'll see how usefull that is when you make a transition to more power... for example ter-tech's event was my first ever and made top 16 with the e30 on stock everything, not even an intake just LSD booya!

That was great that you made it to top 16, you need to get some suspension in there and you'll really tear it up because the skill is there :D :bigthumbu .

I agree 100%, i was super stoked that a stock car made it that far(GOOD JOB)

And thnx for the pics of the badass corolla, another 86 nicer than mine to drool at :laugh:
 
....not even a gze dli setup....its cool but not a fan of the 4a on t3h boost...if ur gonan do that...go all out 7a bottom, u made 150whp on a s/t or b/t? and the one on boost is a s/t i hope
 
i bow down to that e30 yo ppl talked so much shit bout me getting my sr first and how u cant drift on stock suspension u got the rear wheel off the ground yo lol

i supose it made around 150whp with the mods but yeah, the 20v we're building is a s/t fully rebuilt on stock internals not even relocate the dizzy as i can make things fit without breaking the wall

ty all for the props on the stockness, when i get my acura back i'll do bushings and suspension, better tires (there's a pic showing my 65profile tire about to pop out of the rim!)

btw REDLINE 03 you tore it up just as good you just had some spin-out problems
