in my experience its usually the ignition switch there's a way to kinda bypass/fix it were it all works normally but its usually just best to get a used/new one check your battery terminals and wire connections if there ok witch it sounds like it is because u said it starts fine with the jump...

u guys forget to mention that the 2 bolts by the drive shaft are longer on a s14 than on a s13 so u will need those bolts off of a s13 unless you can thread them all the way in witch i doubt because the whole bolt is not threaded
