Car won't turn on. Sometimes it does but then it will have slightly unsteady high idle (about 2k) and shuts down after a few seconds. Pulled out injectors and they are both clicking with circuit and spraying. Checked pressure on fuel lines and is good. Compression spikes at 120 on first crank and reaches 180 with no leaks. There is spark although it seems slightly inconsistent. I have an MSD 6AL and Blaster 2 Coil setup and power is reaching both the MSD and COIL. It's got a brand new rotor and the cap is in good shape...... I could use some fresh ideas of what to check.

ECU possibly? could be going into limp mode then shutting the car off? try resetting it
 
its a ka-t or sr...
my ka did that shit after i put a msd 6a w/ blaster 2 coil i was stumped for a min
it ended up being my fuel pump circuit...cause i had always more then one dizzy..maf..ignitor chip....iacv....watever..to switch out...which made me even more stumped...theres alot more to it u need to check for codes especially...cause if theres no codes being thrown it would definatly explain a wire voltage problem....small boost leak etc.......
 
take the msd shit off and put it back to stock and c if it will run and if it does theres your prob
 
By the way it's a stock KA. Ran it with a stock coil and nothing. Direct power to MSD coil bypassing the box and no spark.
 
the msd blaster needs the 7ohm ballast resistor it allows voltage to drop and allow tach to come out if u pt stock back and no spark then it ignitor chip cas or the ground on the dr rear of blok
 
You can actually run the MSD without the Tach adapter. I have both parts but don't run the tach adapter because I never installed it and it runs. Narrowed it down to the distributor thaks to Ronch, David and Moe and Bill Fisher confirmed it. Swapped it out today thanks to Lio and the spark is there and the car turned over. Going to fix timing tomorrow and it looks like it's all good. I would also like to thank the Academy for realizing how awesome I am and Lebron for giving Miami another excuse to party!
 
lol good to hear that its going to start but do you think that shop had something to do with this
 
wooo congrats man glad u got it running, and i believe the tach adapter is only needed for the sohc
