Want to have the chance to drift every week on a nice flowing course course, not an oval, with some fast entries and even some technical parts?

Well to have a chance of making this a reality I'd like to know how many events per month could you guys attend if they cost $20-25 ? Now wait just a sec before you scream 'a million', read on.....

Such a course does not exist right now, and no one is offering to build one. But I want to get some serious numbers so I can talk to some people about investing in building such a place.

If you dont have a decent job or steady income please dont answer 'every week'

It would probably be something centrally located, so up to a 2hour drive for most south and central floridians

You have to be able to afford tires and fuel, no excuses, have reliable cars, etc. I figure it's $500 per month just for drifting, not including your own maintenance and upgrades etc, just trip fuel, drift fuel, entry fee, tires. That means about $100-125 per event.

Obviously not everyone is going to show up every week, but I think we need a reliable 25+ cars to make this financially feasible and significant enough to present to possible locations that would host it. So 100 'once a month' people, or 50 'every two weeks' and so on......

Please think about your budget and choose your answer carefully, it could make a big difference in doing these events or not.

If you wanna make this really work get in contact with the auto-x clubs. Alot of them would love to have a dedicated track and not have to rent parking lots and runways

I Agree.

If I get something to slide again I think the once a month is totally do able for the price.

i say the most 2 a month, depending on the distance.. and i agree with Jerm and zak, pitch the idea to some AutoX clubs....

You took my idea!! I've always wanted to open up a place like that in the future(5-10 years) but i'd definitely attend as much as i could since im getting my ride soon and i dont have to worry about rent because im still young and live with my parents. I'd say i could attend twice a month. If you're planning on doing this there is pretty much no way you can do it in south FL. When i was thinking about doing it with a buddy of mine, we were thinking more up north like in Orlando because its cheaper. Maybe closer but 2 hours qualifies as a small road trip. Best of Luck with everything, definitely talk to the Auto X guys.

yeah Once I get a car I will be there every 2 weeks and if its close I'll be there every week, I get tires mount and balance for free

Yeah if they make the track surface nice and smooth like the skid pad at moroso tires will last along time. and that would get more people to slide there more often.

Same idea for me.... like I said, distance is the biggest variable. Every hundred miles knocks out about a week's attendance per month. If it's under 50 miles away, if the car's running, I'm there. If it's over 200 miles... then once a month.... IF the track is THAT good.... because we already have Moroso and Countyline.

Yeah your right it depends on the track layout. an awesome track I will be there every week depending on other events

hopefully i can get my loan on an open lot in the backwoods area of orlando, so that way i can cater to those of central florida, cuz i had this idea, like many other people a couple of months ago. (i know i wasnt the first, like many would argue) a nice 5-10 acre lot with a sort of garage port area able to accomodate a couple of cars, with course layout changes every so often or on user preference. hopefully i can get this started soon, i would be so coool

Yeah I've wanted to do this aswell.

+1 ive been thinking about it a longggg time. The thing is that its expensive in south FL and for all of us that live here it would be hard to make events and what not

^ well there are codes and zoneing that you have to think about and also neighbors and inlet road, enviromental impact, construction its alot of work to even build like a parking lot
