So I got a some steam coming from the engine and when I opened up the hood I heard a hissing noise and a lot of steam. I know it's a dumb thing to do but I actually tasted the condensation because it smelled sweet and it did taste sweet. What would leak that tastes sweet? Am I going to die?

yupp u that stuff kills u in approximately 48 hours.....nice knowing u.....lol but wut the hell could taste sweet on a car lmao??

This sucks. I'm checking it out tomorrow. Got to tell you though that shit was tasty. They need to make some radiator flavored Nos energy drink.

I know I know. It's just that I was in my lunch hour and time was almost done since I ran an errand so I was at Wendy's drive through when it happened and I didn't get food. So I opened the hood but since it was dark I couldn't see anything and it just smelled so nice and sweet that before I knew it I just touched the liquid and tasted it. I think I found out what it is though. Car overheated cause the fuse for my electric fans fried and I guess pressure built up and leaked through the upper radiator hose. I hope that's what it is so I'll be taking care of that today.

Coolant for sure!

I see someone did the pepsi test on their engine too.

It's a 95 KA. I think I found the problem though. Little hose right by where the upper rad hose goes in near the manifold. The clip wasn't on correctly.

take a pressure tester to it to be sure thats the only one..i had both my coolant hoses break that come from the thermostat housing to the intake, and heater core..bad deal when fixing
