Anyone got any info on this track?? Has anyone tried to rent it. Xat web site states that the Hard drive drift competition will be held there in the summer(2005)?? Guess it never happened?? You guys down south need to secure this track.

from what i heard. this track is beyond expensive. i know they hosted the Driftshowoff there a long time ago. it looks like a sweet track but like i said i think all plans ever made for this track end up falling becuase of the price. but if you guys can work something out. i would love to see something happen there...

We should show them how they will profit from this. Have many practices, people start noticing, the pros notice too. They will want to come down and maybe even hold Formula D down here. Wow, that sounds unrealistic. So don't believe anything I said.

yea thats a move that requires a great deal of financial backing......not only financial but a collaboration of members to cough up some bank money and consistent turn outs at all events....

so, lets see...last time i checked, im poor lol... anyone here discustingly rich and in dire need to get ridd of sum cash?

Well I personlly spoke to the track rental department last month they said it would be a minimum of $9,000 a day and they supply emt's but you must supply a good insurance. Very expensive oh and the track is booked through april if you want to book it you must book atleast a couple of months ahead of time to lock the track down or someone else will, hope I helped you with this info.

$9000 a day + insurance = like $400 per driver for 30 drivers... You would need some big $$$ sponcers to make it work because the drivers can't afford that.

lol. seriously though, if anyone here gets mad rich (florida lotto!) lol. srsly, buy us a track
and like, lifetime insurance. doesnt anyone have connections with sponserss.

I would and I would use it myself every day... That practice + a nice car and I could be in Formula D! (lol yeah right... )

IIRC I think a lot of people didnt like teh track. I remember after the showoff I heard it. I dont remember exactly what was said. But I think it is a high power track or something like that thee truns are far away to connect?

The event was just piss poor. We were stuck on the track and they wouldn't let drivers leave the area. We were sweating our a$$es of. It was horrible.

Homestead didn't like the drifting anyway...they were complaining about the grass being destroyed and the tire marks being left behind. The Auto-x track they have should be looked into though!!!!

grass being destroy comes from noobs not controlling their cars. i have experience with having my "own" track and sometimes the better drivers go off but they ususally stop and return to the track where *** noobs like to keep going off into grass and don't even try to stop.
